HUBLI: A cyclist was injured on Thursday during the demolition drive when a part of an encroached structure that was being pulled down fell on his head when he accidentally came in the way. The injured was identified as Abdul Azim Allauddin Palla, 43, a resident of Yallapur Oni in Hubli. He was admitted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences-Hospital, and sources confirmed that he is out of danger. The incident happened in the afternoon when an earth-moving machine was clearing an encroachment at Javali Sal. P. Manivannan, Commissioner, Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, said the corporation will bear the cost of the treatment of Mr. Palla.
