Young World quiz on Monday

BANGALORE: The Hindu Young World quiz will be held here on August 29 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan on Miller's Road.

This year's quiz will have an audio-visual component and will be conducted by well-known quizmaster from Chennai, V.V. Ramanan. The regional winner from among the competing school teams will be sponsored by The Hindu Young World to participate in the all-India finals to be held in Kochi on October 1. Besides the travel and accommodation expenses of the teams, expenses will be provided for an accompanying teacher or parent with each team.

The preliminary round will begin at 2 p.m. and the finals at 3.30 p.m. Former international cricketer Venkatesh Prasad is the chief guest.

Eveready is the title sponsor for the event.

IQ Topper is the associated sponsor and the national sponsors are Reynolds, State Bank of Travancore, Penguin Books, Encyclopedia Britannica, Cycle Brand Agarbathis and Coca Cola.
