Akshara Printers press shifted

Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Akshara Printers has shifted to a spacious complex with modern amenities for printing. Mayor J. Chandra inaugurated the new complex near Old GPO at Vanchiyoor recently. The switching-on of the newly introduced multi-colour printing press with computer print controls claimed to be the first one of its kind in Thiruvananthapruam was also held during the occasion.

Akshara has a 20-year-old tradition in printing services and has many firsts to its credit. They had established the first commercial DTP centre in Kerala and the first pre-press in Thiruvananthapuram.

With that, Akshara has become one of the few commercial printers in South India to have full in-hour pre-press capabilities.

A customer can now walk into Akshara with a CD containing the artwork of the multi-colour matter to be printed. The CD can even be sent by post. The pre-press, printing and post-press departments will take care of the work.
