KOLLAM: For the ensuing elections to local bodies, 20 of the 50 divisions in the Kollam Corporation have been declared reserved divisions. Of these, 16 are in the general category for women, two in the general Scheduled Community reservation and two reserved for Scheduled Community women. The sixteen divisions reserved for women in the general category are Pallimukku, Kilikollur South, Mundakkal East, Pallithottam, Kallumthazham, Amman Nada, Uliyakovil West, Tangassery East, Koikkal, Cutchery, Thekkumbhagam, Kureepuzha North, Shakthikulangara West, Cantonment, Valathungal East and Thekkevila. The reserved divisions for Scheduled Community candidates are Tangassery West and Shakthikulangara North. The two divisions reserved for Scheduled Community women are Mangad and Eravipuram.
