JAIPUR: Laboratory tests conducted by the Rajasthan Government's Medical and Health Department on the samples of major soft drinks brands, including Pepsi, have found presence of excessive E. coli bacteria counts in them, rendering the soft drinks with a high degree of contamination. Experiments showed that E. coli count in Pepsi was 110 per millilitre. An official release issued here on Thursday stated that the Pepsi sample, bottled at Varun Breweries Limited, Alwar, was collected in Thanagazi. It was tested in the Central Public Health Laboratory here as part of the Sate Government's drive to check adulteration of food items.
