`Clearance for Polavaram soon'

HYDERABAD:
The Polavaram project is all set to receive site clearance by August 29 and environmental clearance by the second week of October, according to Mallu Ravi, special representative of the Andhra Pradesh Government in New Delhi. Speaking to The Hindu on Thursday, Dr. Ravi said he would be leaving for New Delhi on Friday along with a team of officials to take up the issue of Polavaram clearances with the Central agencies in the light of the High Court order.
He was hopeful that all clearances would be secured before October 14. He said the recent visit of the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, had turned out to be beneficial for the State.
