Two killed in train accidents

CHENNAI:
Two persons, including a woman constable, died and another was seriously injured in three accidents on the suburban rail section on Thursday.
A first-year student of an engineering college was critically injured when he fell down from the Beach-Tirumalpuram EMU service between Urapakkam and Guduvancheri. His friends, travelling along with him, admitted Sukumaran to the SRM Medical College Hospital.
In another accident, a 35-year old man had a fatal fall between Chrompet and Pallavaram from a train, which was on its way to Beach from Tirumalpuram.
Woman constable dies
A woman head constable, attached to the Government Railway Police at Central station, died after she fell down from a suburban train at the Villivakkam station.
The police said Pavalamathi (46), boarded an MMC-bound train at Villivakkam around 9 a.m. The woman slipped from the train, sustained injuries and died on the spot.
