Karat in NIC

NEW DELHI: Communist Party of India (Marxist) general secretary Prakash Karat has been included in the reconstituted National Integration Council.

President of the Confederation of Indian Industries Y.C. Deveshwar has replaced Sunil Kant Munjal. Annie Raja, general secretary, National Federation of Indian Women, takes the place of Sehba Farooqui. Mohammad Afzal has been dropped.

The NIC was reconstituted last time in February, an official release said here on Thursday.
