VISAKHAPATNAM: Member of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes V. Devender on Thursday visited the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and expressed satisfaction over implementation of SC/ST reservations. Mr. Devender discussed with VSP Chairman and Managing Director Y. Siva Sagar Rao, SC/ST associations and others on the implementation of reservations. During his visit, Mr. Devender was able to merge 10 organisations representing Dalits in the VSP into to a single organisation, the general secretary of the association, Varasala Srinivasa Rao, said. He also said that Mr. Devender was successful in solving several long-pending problems of the Dalit and other employees of the VSP.
