Parents donate Suchith's eyes

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: For the residents of Satyanarayananagar in Gudimalkapur, the tragic death of Suchith Bhargav in a road accident at Basheerbagh on Thursday came as a rude jolt.

"None of us could assimilate the fact that the always cheerful boy left the house in the morning never to return," a neighbour K. Savithri said. A fan of cricket and football, Bhargav won hearts of friends, neighbours and relatives with his amicable nature.

The boy's parents — Rammurthy and Yashoda — were inconsolable. Everyone broke down as Rammurthy shook the body crying, "Suchith my son, wake up at least once and talk to me."

A shocked Yashoda withdrew into stoic silence. Though in deep shock, the couple donated their son's eyes.

Local cable operators suspended their network for sometime in the evening when Suchith's body was brought to his house in the evening after completion of post-mortem. The last rites were performed at Ganesh Ghat in Karvan.
