Two men snatch woman's chain

BANGALORE: Two men riding a motorcycle snatched a gold chain worth Rs. 40,000 from a woman in Kumaraswamy Layout police station limits on Wednesday.

The police said that at 5.15 p.m. the two youths, who were wearing helmets, snatched the chain from Nagarathana when she was walking near Surabhi School in ISRO Layout. Her two friends, Sumithra and Sulochana, were with her when the incident occurred.

Dies in accident

A woman died in a hit-and-run case on Hosur Road in Madivala police station limits in the early hours of Thursday.

The police said that around 3 a.m. a vehicle ran over the woman aged around 40 when she was crossing Hosur Road, off HTMT Call Centre.

The Madivala traffic police have registered a case.
