BANGALORE: South Western Railway will introduce special trains to clear extra rush during holidays on account of Ganesh Chaturthi and Onam festivals. Bangalore City-Ernakulam Special (train no. 0651) will leave Bangalore city at 5.15 p.m. and reach Ernakulam at 6.15 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Bangalore on September 4, 6, 10 to September 15 and September 17 to 20. In the return direction, Ernakulam-Bangalore City Special (train no. 0652) will leave Ernakulam at 3 p.m. and reach Bangalore city at 4.30 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Ernakulam on September 5, 7, 11 to 16 and from September 18 to 21. The train will run via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Tirupathur, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Shoranur, Trichur, Alwaye and Ernakulam town. They will have two three-tier AC coaches, eight three-tier second-class sleeper coaches, two general second-class coaches and two second-class-cum-luggage vans. The above services are in addition to Bangalore City-Ernakulam-Bangalore City specials (train nos. 0637/0638) already in service. Yeshvantpur-Cannanore Special (train no. 0649) will leave Yeshvantpur at 8 p.m. and reach Kannur at 10.30 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Yeshvantpur on September 12 and 14. In the return direction, Cannanore-Yeshvantpur Special (train no. 0650) will leave Kannur at 5.45 p.m. and reach Yeshvantpur at 7.45 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Kannur on September 13 and 15. The train will run via Banaswadi, Hosur, Dhamapuri, Salem, Erode, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozikode, Vadagara and Thalassery. The trains will have one two-tier AC coach, eight three-tier second-class sleeper coaches, four general second-class coaches and two second-class-cum-luggage vans. Bangalore City-Madurai-Nagarcoil Special (train no. 0643) will leave Bangalore at 5.45 p.m. and reach Madurai at 4.50 a.m. and depart from there at 5 a.m. to reach Nagercoil at 10 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Bangalore city on September 4, 5 and 6. In the return direction, Nagercoil-Madurai- Bangalore City Special (train no. 0644) will leave Nagercoil at 3.30 p.m. and reach Madurai at 8.23 p.m. and depart from there at 8.45 p.m. to reach Bangalore city on the next day at 9 a.m. The train will run from Nagercoil on September 5, 6, and 7. The train will run via Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sathur, Kovilpatti, Vanchimaniachhi and Tirunelveli. They will have two three-tier AC coaches, eight three-tier second-class sleeper coaches, two general second-class coaches and two second-class-cum-luggage vans. The above services are in addition to Bangalore City-Nagercoil-Bangalore City specials (train nos. 647/648) already in service. Bangalore City-Chennai Special (train no. 0645) will leave Bangalore city at 9.30 p.m. and reach Chennai at 4.35 a.m. the next day. The Train will run from Bangalore city on September 5 and 12. In the return direction, Chennai-Bangalore City Special (train no. 0646) will leave Chennai at 9.45 p.m. and reach Bangalore city at 5.15 a.m. the next day. The train will run from Chennai on September 6 and September 13. The train will run via Bangalore Cantonment, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur. The above services are in addition to Bangalore City-Chennai-Bangalore City specials already in service.
