YSR denies being in the fray for CWC post
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:
The Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has said that he was not a "forerunner" for the coveted post of Congress Working Committee (CWC) Member.
Responding to a query at a press conference here on Monday, Dr. Reddy disputed reports to this effect. He did not, however, indicate whether he would contest for the CWC.
Earlier, the Chief Minister, accompanied by the APCC president, K. Keshava Rao and other party leaders, inspected the Hitex convention centre to study the feasibility of hosting the proposed AICC plenary at the venue.
However, the convention centre was found unsuitable for the event and the leaders decided to explore other options. Party sources said the Gachibowli Sports Complex might be preferred to host the big event.
