Actor Prashanth weds today

CHENNAI: Actor Prashanth, son of Thyagarajan who is a film star of yesteryears, will be marrying Grahalakshmi on Thursday at the Mayor Sri Ramanathan Chettiar Centre in the city.

"I wanted to personally invite all film artistes but because of a shortage of time I am able to call up and invite only some of them," said Thyagarajan.

The list includes a few names from Bollywood.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has promised to attend the reception in the evening; she will be in New Delhi in the morning.

DMK chief M. Karunanidhi, MDMK leader Vaiko and other political leaders have also been invited.

Where does the couple plan to honeymoon? His father is suggesting Austria and Hawaii.

Thyagarajan will present the couple the new commercial establishment `Prashanth Gold Souk' in T.Nagar as his wedding gift.

The good-looking actor has acted in several hit films such as Chembaruthi and Jeans, and has also starred in several of his father's home productions.
