HYDERABAD: C. Anil defeated Rohit Michael 62-55, 27-52, 26-78, 49-32, 64-34 in the preliminary round of the snooker event in the Fateh Maidan Club Open State-ranking snooker and billiards tournament on its premises here on Thursday.

Ramesh, Nageswara qualify as BCCI scorers

M. Ramesh Kumar and S. Nageswara Rao qualified as BCCI scorers with the former standing first in the scorers' examination conducted by the BCCI in June, according to a Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association press release on Wednesday.
