Hat-trick by Khaja Qutubuddin

HYDERABAD: Good bowling by Khaja Qutubuddin (six for 27), including a hat-trick, helped All Saint's HS record a nine-wicket win over Goutham Model School `A' in the Himalaya Chyavanaprasha Cup inter-school (under-15) cricket tournament here on Thursday.

The scores: Himalaya Chyavanaprasha Cup (under-15): Goutham Model School `A' 124 (Mallikarjun 42, Khaja Qutubuddin six for 27) lost to All Saints 128 for one (Akshath Reddy 37, Abhinav Agarwal 52 n.o.).

St. Joseph's SS 118 (Md. Sharif three for 15, Md. Akram three for 10) lost to Secunderabad PS 119 for two (Surya Teja 59 n.o.).

St. Peter's HS 169 (G. Mahesh Yadav 65, Subhan four for 29, Vara Prasad three for 35) bt Geetha Convent HS 39 (Rishank Reddy six for 6, Rajender four for 12).

Kenedy Vidya Bhavan 151 (Pratik 42, Shivesh 30, Murtaza three for 26) lost to Sherwood PS 152 for eight (Praneet 40, Pratik four for 22).

Mahbub College HS 152 (N. Naresh 40, Saketh three for 28) lost to St. Joseph's HS 153 for five (Saketh 36, Narender three for 17).

Methodist Boys HS 137 (Jounous 39, Sohail 49, Rahul Ranbout four for 27, Rayan three for 23) lost to Bhavan's Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya `A' 138 for one (Ashish Reddy 74 n.o., P. Kaneshk Naidu 38 n.o.).

A-Division (two-day) league: CCOB 226 (Khadeer 73, A. Lalith Mohan eight for 60) drew with Deccan Chronicle 222 (Daanish Raj 40, Asim Azam three for 52, Hemanth Dillikar three for 25).

VPSC scores win

Visakhaptnam Port Sports Council defeated host Visakhapatnam Steel Plant by 34 runs in the inaugural match of the RINL Steel Cup cricket tournament at the Ukku Stadium here on Thursday.

The scores: VPSC 204 in 49.2 overs (N. Srinivasa Reddy 52) bt VSP 170 in 47 overs.

Table tennis tournament
