Bangalore: Postal emerged champion in the Prasanna Kumar Memorial football tournament here on Thursday. In the final at the Football Stadium, Postal defeated National FC 3-0. Joseph headed in a Sunil corner kick to put Postal ahead in the fifth minute. Postal dominated the proceedings, but with National goalkeeper Aneesh remaining agile, goals were hard to score. However, Postal caused a breach again minutes before the break as Einstein slotted home a Venkatesh pass. After the break, Postal continued to strangle National though Xavier's inability to convert chances proved to be a stumbling block. Xavier however made amends in the 85th minute as he latched onto an Einstein assist. Postal could have scored more goals, but Aneesh's goalkeeping skills saved further embarrassment for National.
