KOCHI: Left-arm spinner V.S. Shiju's six-wicket haul went in vain as Idukki lost to Ernakulam by 93 runs in the Central Zone under-22 inter-district cricket championship at the KRL Oval, Ambalamugal, on Thursday. The scores: Palakkad 120 in 35.3 overs (A.V. Sreejith 59, Arun Alex four for 31) lost to Thrissur 121 for three in 29.4 overs (Abhijith Menon 55 not out, Praveen Achuthan 30 not out). Ernakulam 154 in 42.2 overs (Abhishek Hegde 35, V.S. Shiju six for 41) bt Idukki 61 in 25.4 overs (Prasanth Parameswaran five for 25, Arun Raj three for 3).
