A long innings

Finally, after six long years, the Hyderabad RTA Joint Transport Commissioner C.L.N. Gandhi was transferred. He happens to be the longest serving JTC in the Transport Department.

The talk about his transfer started as soon as the Congress Government came to power, but Mr. Gandhi, however, continued in the office (till now).

While the staff in his office often talked about his "close links" with the TDP bosses, one wonders as to how Mr. Gandhi continued for more than one year after the Congress took over from TDP.

"Whatever be the reasons, being in the office for six long years is not an easy job," the RTA officials feel.

"But how did he do it?" is one question to which none has a perfect answer.
