Stay order against Hindi film

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Filmmaker Kavitha Lankesh has obtained a temporary injunction order from a city court against the screening of the Hindi film "Pyar Mein Twist" contending that the story was lifted from her film, "Preeti, Prema, Pranaya".

In his order, the principal city civil and sessions judge observed that apparently, there was an imminent danger to the rights of the plaintiff and the matter required immediate and urgent orders.

The judge thereby restrained the defendants, Sahara Entertainment Management Company Ltd. and others, from exhibiting the film.
