BIJAPUR: The former Prime Minister and President of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda visited some flood affected villages along the Bhima on Friday . At Dasur, the worst-hit village, Mr. Gowda promised the affected people that he will get them an adequate compensation for crop and property loss. Later in the night, Mr. Gowda addressed a public meeting at Chadchana hobli in the limits of Ballolli Assembly segment of Indi taluk. Former Minister Umesh Katti, local MLA R. K. Rathod, president of district unit of Janata Dal Secular, Mallikarjun Yandigeri, former MLA from Bagalkot P.H. Pujar and host of leaders accompanied him. He is scheduled visit Bagalkot district on Saturday.
