Tata Power pact with DVC for Maithon project

MUMBAI: Tata Power Company (TPC) has signed the shareholders' agreement and share purchase agreement with state-owned Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for executing a 1,000 MW right bank thermal power project being developed by Maithon Power Ltd. TPC would hold 74 per cent equity, while Damodar Valley Corporation would hold the balance 26 per cent in the Rs. 3,800-crore project, TPC said in a release here.
