Appreciating quality cinema

CHENNAI:
Communication Students of Madras Christian College are to run an interactive Public Campaign on "Quality Cinema" as an initiative to change the attitude of youth towards movies.
The college proposes to hold a series of events starting with a Film Appreciation Workshop, on Saturday, between 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on the college premises. The resource person for the workshop is Louis Mathew, Program Officer, Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. The campaign calls for an inter-college Paper Presentation Competition on the topic "In 21st century, cinema form takes precedence over content" on September 12.
A Workshop on Cinematography is also scheduled. To cater to the students in the city, the students of Madras Christian College are organising a film screening followed by interactive sessions with experts from the Film Industry at the Film Chamber Of Commerce, Nungambakkam.
