Submit applications to Revenue Department, ex-servicemen told

MADIKERI: Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav has called upon the ex-servicemen in Kodagu to submit applications to the Revenue Department through the Ex-servicemen Association to identify land and fix a suitable price.

He was speaking at the ninth ex-servicemen's adalat here, according to an official press release on Friday. If he received such applications, it will enable him to seek suitable directions from the Government to go ahead with the project to sanction land, he said.

On reserving land to ex-servicemen of the Rifle Range here, Mr. Yadav said that the concurrence of the Forest Department should be obtained.

Besides, the land availability list will have be obtained from Virajpet and Somwarpet taluks.

When the honorary secretary of the Kodagu Ex-servicemen's Association, Lt. Col. A.E. Ganapathi (Retd.), brought up the issue of improper communication and lack of response from the department on the availability of land and other details, Mr. Yadav asked applicants to lodge complaints directly with him so that he could initiate action. .

Mr. Yadav said that the District Information Officer, Land Acquisition Officers from Hunsur and Hassan and police should be invited to the next ex-servicemen adalat, apart from the three tahsildars of Kodagu district.
