AIDS awareness camp

TIRUCHI: The government primary health centre at Navalpattu conducted an AIDS awareness camp for members of women self-help groups and higher secondary students at Mukkulathur Higher Secondary School, Tiruverumbur, on Monday.

Speaking on the topic `AIDS is a Social Stigma,' the Block Medical Officer of the centre, Madhavi, said unsafe sexual intercourse was the cause for the spread of AIDS in 90 per cent of the cases.
