NEW DELHI: On the eve of talks with the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday had discussions with Home Minister Shivraj Patil and the Centre's point man for Kashmir, N. N. Vohra, to chalk out the strategy for Monday's meeting with the amalgam leaders. During the meeting, the Prime Minister heard the Hurriyat's views raised during their meetings with the former Deputy Prime Minister, L. K. Advani. Official sources said Mr. Vohra briefed Dr. Singh about the meeting he had with the Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq in November last before the Prime Minister's visit to New York. Dr. Singh's Special Envoy on Pakistan, S K Lambha, also attended the meeting, which lasted for 45 minutes. Addressing a press meet, the Miraiz said he was hopeful that the dialogue would bear results in resolving the Kashmir issue. ``The talks are being held in a good atmosphere and we are hopeful that they will bear results and help in the final resolution of the Kashmir issue,'' he said. The talks will focus on finding an amicable, peaceful and acceptable resolution to the issue, he added. The Mirwaiz said the dialogue process had come a full circle. ``First we had two rounds of parleys with the NDA, then we met the leadership of Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir and now we are holding talks with the UPA Government,'' he said.
