dated September 7, 1955: Corridor train

Travelling watermen will supply drinking water to third class passengers in the first corridor train, expected to run between Howrah and Delhi from October 2, 1955, it was learnt in New Delhi on September 5. The corridor train, the first of its kind in the country exclusively for third class passengers, will also have a sleeping car and a dining car attached.
