Futile exercise

It has become a ritual for Prime Ministers to invite the All-Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders for talks in a bid to find a solution for the Kashmir issue. But they hardly achieve anything from this oft-repeated exercise. This is because many leaders of the hardline factions in the Hurriyat do Pakistan's bidding and will never allow peace to prevail in the State.
