KAKINADA: The Election observer for East Godavari district, V. Nagireddy, on Tuesday visited various places in the town where polling stations are to be arranged for the municipal elections scheduled for September 24. Accompanied by the Municipal Commissioner, Kakani Subrahmanyam, he visited the Municipal Corporation's Upper Primary School in Yetimoga and the office complexes of Fisheries Department's Assistant Director and Deputy Director and inspected the arrangements made for the polling stations there. He also inspected the Bachu Raman Municipal Girls' High School and other places proposed for polling stations in Jagannaickpur area. Mr. Nagireddy asked the returning officers and assistant returning officers of various polling stations to take up urgent measures to provide minimum facilities for voters in all the polling stations. He wanted them to ensure that the polling stations had ventilation and drinking water facility. The town planning officer, J. Subbarao, and other municipal officials accompanied the observer.
