MANGALORE: The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy will present its honorary award for 2004 to K. Chinnappa Gowda, Jayasheela and Lokaya Pambada at a function in Bangalore on September 11. Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh will present the award, a press release by the academy's Registrar (in-charge), Dugappa Kajekar, here on Tuesday said. Mr. Gowda has been chosen for the award for his contribution to Tulu literature and research, Ms. Jayasheela for her service in the field of Tulu theatre and cinema and Mr. Pambada for his contribution to Tulu folklore. The award comprises a purse of Rs. 10,000, a citation, a memento and a shawl.
