CHENNAI: A thing of beauty is a joy forever. And if it is coupled with intelligence, it is even more appreciated and everlasting. Keeping this in mind, the Virgo Event Management is organising a beauty contest for married women in the city.

The Mrs. Chennai 2005 aims at identifying women of skills and beauty through the event, which has been on for five years now. This year's contest will once again reiterate the fact that marriage will not stand an obstacle to achievements of women who are otherwise caught amid daily chores.

Besides the beauty pageant, the contest would also focus on several aspects, including fitness, cookery skills and creativity. Those married women under 40 years of age who want to participate can pick up application forms from Food World and Nilgiris outlets.

The last date for registration is September 9.

The participants will be invited for a briefing session on October 7 at Hotel Radisson at 4 p.m.

The grand finale will be held at Chennai Convention Centre at Nandambakkam.

The winner of Saffola Mrs.Chennai 2005 will be sent to Mrs. India and other international contests.
