KOLKATA: South Eastern Railway (SER) won the men's team title in the 53rd all-India inter-Railway table tennis championship here on Tuesday. The women's title went to Central. Lack of a second singles player in the rank of Eastern Railway put paid to its aspirations of winning the men's title against the host SER. In the women's final, Central's Mamta Prabhu gave her team two crucial wins against SER to annex the crown. The results: Men's team final: South Eastern bt Eastern 3-2(Anirban Nandy bt Pritivraj Bose 11-9, 11-6, 5-11, 11-9; Soumyajit Sarkar lost to Sourav Chakraborty 11-9, 14-16, 10-12, 11-9, 6-11; Amit Das bt Souvik Basu Roy 9-11, 11-6, 11-4, 5-11, 11-8; Nandy lost to Chakraborty 8-11, 7-11, 5-11; Sarkar bt Bose 11-4, 11-4, 11-3). Women's final: Central bt South Eastern 3-1(Leena Medhekar lost to Sumana Bose 5-11, 6-11, 11-13; Mamta Prabhu bt Pallavi Kundu 11-5, 11-4, 13-11; Deepali Javeri bt Saptaparni Guhu 7-11, 8-11, 11-4, 12-10, 11-9; Mamta bt Sumana 11-9, 10-12, 8-11, 12-10, 11-6).
