KOZHIKODE: The award for the best teacher instituted by the District Head Master's and AEO's Forum was presented to three teachers at the district-level Teachers' Day celebrations organised at the BEM Girls Higher Secondary School here on September 5. The award for the best teacher (unaided school) was presented to Remaben Mulji, Principal of Sree Gujarati Higher Secondary School, (aided school) to Sr. M. Jovita, Principal, St. Joseph's Anglo-Indian Girls Higher Secondary School and (Government school) to Shobana Peters (Government Vocational Girls Higher Secondary School, Nadakkave). The teachers were selected for the awards for their valuable services to the community and their contribution as Principals of outstanding merit. P.R. Nathan, litterateur, delivered the keynote address on the occasion. N. Sashidharan, District Educational Officer; P.K. Sumathi, Assistant Educational Officer, Kozhikode; T.I. Unnikrishnan, secretary, District HM and AEO's Forum, among others, participated.
