Saviour Convent School defends well

NEW DELHI: Joginder Kumar (five for eight) and Gaurav Jindal (three for eight) did the major damage as Saviour Convent School defended its modest total to beat GRM School, Nangloi, by 51 runs in the Pool D first round match in the Himalaya Cup inter-school under-15 tournament on Tuesday.

The scores: Saviour Convent School 112 in 32.2 overs (Gaurav Rai 43, Manish Kumar four for 11) bt GRM School, Nangloi, 61 in 25.3 overs (Yogender Singh 30, Joginder Kumar five for eight, Gaurav Jindal three for eight).

Sardar Patel School 158 for six in 35 overs (Shobhit 40 not out, Raghav Kakkar 33, Yuvesh Kuthra three for 35) bt Bal Bharti Public School 89 in 25.5 overs (Dhruv Gola 38, Umang Rathore three for four, Shubhankar Kumar three for 23, Sarang Rawat three for 24).

Four-wkt. win for MNSS

Neeraj Singh (57) and Deepak Kumar (36 not out) helped Motilal Nehru Sports School beat Salwan Public School by four wickets in the league match of the 16th Radha Kishan memorial inter-school cricket tournament here.

The scores: Salwan Public School 146 for nine in 30 overs (Tarang Gupta 53, Arun Arora 32, Pankaj Dahiya four for 34) lost to Motilal Nehru Sports School 149 for six in 24.1 overs (Neeraj Singh 57, Deepak Kumar 36 not out, Ankur Arora three for 37).

Ekansh bowls well

Ekansh Debuka's six-wicket haul steered Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, to 200-run win against J.K.G. School, Ghaziabad, in the league match of the Salwan Cup under-17 cricket tournament here.

The scores: Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, 293 for eight in 40 overs (Manik Tandon 66, Tejaswi Yadav 62, Trigun Das 39, Swapnil Chouhan three for 46, Vineet Kumar three for 53) bt J.K.G School, Ghaziabad, 93 in 19.3 overs (Maninder Singh 33 not out, Ekansh Debuka six for 25, Angad Singh three for 15).

Salwan Boys School 186 for seven in 35 overs (Tarun Choudhary 37, Rajeev Sharma 36, Shobhit Kaushik 34, Vishwas Sehrawat three for 39, Vikram Kumar three for 19) bt Ganga International School 112 in 23 overs (Rahul Yadav 57, Darshan Kajania three for two, Rajeev Sharma three for 26).
