AICC panel to study programme implementation

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The coordination committee formed by the AICC to interact with the Government in ensuring the implementation of the party programmes would begin its on-the-spot study of the ground realities from November.

Announcing this at the State PCC general body meeting here on Tuesday, the AICC general secretary and the in-charge of State Congress affairs, Digvijay Singh, said the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme introduced by the Centre in 200 districts initially was a great boon to the poor.

Ambika Soni, general secretary and in-charge of the AICC plenary, said the party had decided to host the plenary at Hyderabad as a tribute to Andhra Pradesh Congress workers for bringing back the party to power.

The Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the Finance Minister, K. Rosaiah, listed the achievements of the Government.
