BHOPAL: : The Madhya Pradesh Jail Minister, Dhal Singh Bisen, has issued instructions to file a caveat in the Supreme Court about 60 acres of prime land here in the State Capital which was being used to run a stud farm by members of the erstwhile ruling family of Bhopal but has been taken over by the district authorities following a High Court order. The district authorities swung into action last week and took over the land being used for running a stud farm in the heart of the city by demolishing the stables and entire infrastructure within a few hours. This was after a two-Judge bench of the High Court had dismissed a special leave petition of the stud farm owners claiming ownership right over the land in question.

The Minister suggested that a training and research centre could be established on this land as the Jail officials were presently being sent to other States for training.
Dr. Bisen also instructed officials to take steps to prevent any encroachment on this land. He said that a "gaushala" of the Central Jail could be set up on this land.
