NIZAMABAD: Eighteen nominations were rejected in the scrutiny for the civic body elections in the three towns of Nizamabad, Bodhan and Kamareddy in the district. Nine were rejected in Nizamabad corporation, seven in Kamareddy and two in Bodhan municipal councils. According to official sources, in Kamareddy nominations of one Congress candidate, two TDP, one BJP and three independents were set aside, while in Bodhan the candidature of one Congress candidate, Radhakrishna, and one independent, Shaik Imam, were rejected. Meanwhile, the election observer, Vinodkumar, went round the three towns and inspected arrangements for the municipal elections, the sources said.
