A love story with a dose of humour
"Jitthan" fame Ramesh and Sruthi in "Idhuthaan Kaadal Enbathaa."
A light-hearted look at love with a liberal dose of humour is what a group of young stars hope to come up with in "Idhuthaan Kaadal Enbathaa," a film from L.Ve Creators, slotted for a December release.
Producer V. Vishwanathan got the cameras rolling the other day for his first Tamil film under the L.Ve. banner at Mayajaal Cricket Stadium with a college cricket match sequence and a song paying tribute to Kapil Dev. Everyone on this youth entertainer is fine-tuning the humour part, led by the incurable humorist, `Crazy' Mohan, who has written the script.
David Pascal, the noted western music singer, does something different in "Idhuthaan Kaadal Enbathaa": he sings in Tamil. It should be interesting to watch "Jitthan" fame Ramesh, producer R B Chowdry's son, playing a gleefully mischievous boy-next-door. Director S.B. Khanthan, younger brother of director Moulee, says this role stands in complete contrast to what he did in "Jitthan."
The film also stands out with its three heroines - Meera Vasudevan, Mumtaz and Sruthi, while `Maadhu' Balajee enlivens a key character with his well-known brand of humour.
The cast includes Santhana Bharathi, Madan Baab and `Crazy' Mohan.
Vincent, ace cinematographer P C Shriram's associate, handles the camera and the melodious touch of Ramesh Vinayakam of "Nala Damayanthi" and "Azhagiya Theeye" raises expectations for the five songs that form part of the film.
