CHENNAI: From Lord Siva's bow `Pinaka' in India's defence arsenal to finding the Big Boss in Biz — MAKE IN AMBUSH anagram for Mukesh Ambani — the regional round of Young World Quiz 2005 concentrated `On Everything India.'

The sixth edition of the competition saw 758 two-member teams from Chennai, Pondicherry, Chittoor, Nellai and even Vellore descending at Kamarajar Arangam on Tuesday, ready to vault over the written preliminary round.

Quizmaster V.V. Ramanan went backstage, evaluated 758 answer sheets and announced the regional finalists, who gave the most "correct and complete answers."

Six made it — Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (KK Nagar), Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram, Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya, DAV Matriculation (Gopalapuram), TI Matriculation Higher Secondary and Shrishti Matriculation Higher Secondary School from Vellore.

The real drama unfolded with quizmaster Bharat Epur engaging the rest of the participants to come up with their answers to the 25 preliminary questions — from who is the latest world champion from city and his/her sport to the Tamil name for `cinnamon.'

Srinath in chess and `pattai': chimed participants.

Gift vouchers, books and computer tables were distributed at regular intervals.

Mr. Ramanan took over the six finalists accompanied by colourfully named rounds such as Chitrahaar (picture round), Mixed Curry (unscrambling anagrams with the help of clues), jugalbandhi (audio visual session) and the sedate but deadly `Shootout.'
