Training camp for Haj pilgrims

The first training camp for Haj pilgrims from the city will be held on September 11 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Hi-Tech Garden Function Hall, behind the Race Course, New Wahed Nagar.

Mohammed Ghouse Mohiuddin, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Haj Committee, in a press release issued here on Tuesday asked those intending to travel in 2006 to attend the camp.

IA booking office shifted

The city booking office of the Indian Airlines (IA) at Saifabad has been shifted to its new premises at HACA Bhavan besides the Air India office on the Hill Fort Road. The office, with computerised reservations and ticketing, exclusive counters for frequent flyers and city check-in facility for passengers with hand baggage, will commence its operations on September 8. Holiday for bus pass counters today

Bus pass counters of the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, including those in eSeva centres, will remain closed on Wednesday on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi, according to an official press release.

RTC introduces single trips on new route

The RTC Hyderabad city region introduced four single trips on route No.434 between Ibrahimpatnam and Kudaspally via Manchal and Loyapally from Tuesday, according to a press release.

Airmen recruitment process under way

The selection process to recruit airmen in Group Y (non-technical) trades in the Indian Air Force commenced on September 1 at 12 Airmen Selection Centre, Bowenpally.

A total of 1,082 candidates participated in the first two days of the examination.

The Commanding Officer of the centre has cautioned candidates to be wary of middlemen.
