Youth killed in accident

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An 18-year-old youth was killed when the motorbike he was riding collided with a lorry near Jagathy on Tuesday morning. The police identified the deceased as Ratheesh Kumar.

Pedestrian injured

A 24-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a KSRTC bus at Thiruvallam on Tuesday morning. The victim, identified as Rakhi, has been admitted to Medical College Hospital here.

Youth found hanging

A 23-year-old youth was found hanging at his home on Beach road in Kovalam police station limits on Tuesday evening. Hospital sources said the youth, Vinu, was declared dead on arrival at MCH.

Drug peddling: one held

The Excise Department has arrested a 35-year-old man on the charge of peddling drugs. Circle Inspector (CI) B. Suresh Kumar identified the accused as Manja Nazeer.
