Action against bishop sought by Dalita Sangham

HYDERABAD: The Dalita Sankshema Sangam, Andhra Pradesh, has demanded action against Rev. John Theoder, Bishop of Karimnagar Diocese, in connection with the murder of the pastor, Y. Sydney David.

The latter was slain on April 11 by the Bishop and his two sons for protesting against the irregularities in the sale of church property, alleged B.L. Satish Mahajan, president, and Vidya Sagar, general secretary of the sangam. They told reporters that they had complained to the police, DIG, Karimnagar Range and district Collector but no action was taken so far. Pension, death relief fund and other benefits due to the widow of the slain pastor were not released yet by the Bishop. If no action is taken to they would launch an indefinite fast before the house of the Bishop.
