Here are reflections of a multifaceted personality. Maxwell Valentine Noronha, Bishop-Emeritus of Kozhikode and first Indian Bishop here, is a noted teacher, musician, writer and above all a person known for his humility and one who reached out to people. Ormacheppu, memoirs of the Bishop, was released at a programme at St. Joseph's Anglo-Indian Girls' Higher Secondary School, here on Wednesday. Through the 27 chapters, the writer takes a walk down memory lane to his school days at Vadakara and Mahe, graduation at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, when the critic Sukumar Azhikode was his teacher, and the wide exposure he gained during his stay in Rome while working for his doctorate. The occasion also marked the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Episcopal Ordination of the Rev. Maxwell Noronha as Bishop of Kozhikode.
