Plane for U.S. may leave today
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI:
An Indian Air Force plane loaded with relief supplies for the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, United States, may leave at the earliest on Friday, four days after it was readied, official sources said.
India had readied the aircraft with 25 tonnes of material but the Ministry of External Affairs had not been able to get clearance from the U.S. authorities. The plane would take off immediately after receipt of notice, the sources said.
