COLOMBO: : One woman was killed and more than 60 passengers were injured in a stampede inside an aircraft at the Bandaranaike International Airport on Thursday following panic reaction to a bomb-threat on the commercial flight. The Saudi Arabian flight to Jeddah was readying for take-off when the airport received a phone call about the bomb-threat. Subsequent searches on the flight proved the call to be a hoax. However, in the confusion that prevailed, passengers rushed to the emergency exits, which were opened, and jumped off the aircraft. The injuries were sustained during the stampede to the exits and when the passengers jumped out, media reports said.
