Bihar complying with order

PATNA: The Bihar Government is complying with the Election Commission's order to maintain status quo on new appointments to the Bihar Public Service Commission, the Bihar State Backward Classes Commission, the Bihar Minorities Commission and the 15-point Implementation Committee.

Chief Secretary G.S. Kang said the Election Commission order would not affect those who have joined service. However, those who have not taken up their assignment cannot do so till the Commission gave its go-ahead.The Commission had taken objection to the appointments made by Governor Buta Singh on the day it (Election Commission) announced the poll schedule.
