NAGAPATTINAM: The Chinmaya Mission, Nagapattinam, has started "Chinmaya Jothi", a three-month free computer training course for the students of the tsunami-affected areas. Brahmachari Rishi Chaitanya of Chinmaya Mission, took efforts and got 13 computers provided by an NGO for conducting the course. According to Brahmachari Gagan Chaitanya of Chinmaya Mission, Nagapattinam, the Mission had so far trained 45 students, mostly girls, through three batches and pointed out that the students were given training to learn the basics in computer operating, etc., for about two-and-a-half hours every day.
Eligibility criteria
He said that students who had studied Tenth Standard, Plus Two and graduates in any discipline were being admitted to the course that is being conducted in a private building in Neela South Street.
