THE WORD virus causes jitters in both the field of medicine and computers. Now, a solution to problems posed by viruses, worms, hacking etc. seems to be just a click away. `Linux,' says R. Sivarajah, Director, Winways Systems, fits the bill.
"Linux is a system always ready to accept suggestions and improvements. The software can be downloaded free. The user can modify the source programme to satisfy their needs with the condition that the modified software be hosted on the net for the benefit of other users," he says. Winways Systems opened its `virus-free IT store' on North Veli Street in Madurai on Wednesday. The store was inaugurated by P. Mohan, MP.
