THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K. Karunakaran will lead his nascent party, the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran)'s campaign for the local body elections, disregarding his age and problems of mobility. Mr. Karunakaran's election campaign will begin on September 9 from Attingal. It will also signify the official launch of the party's election campaign. His electoral wagon will take him to Alappuzha on September 11, Ernakulam on September 12, Thrissur on September 13, Kannur and Kasaragod on September 18, Kozhikode on September 19, and Pathanamthitta-Chengannur on September 22. DIC president K. Muraleedharan will begin his electoral campaign on September 12 from Thrissur. He will address meetings in Thiruvananthapuram, Kasaragod-Kannur districts on September 16, Idukki on September 17, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta on September 18, Ernakulam on September 19, Alappuzha on September 20, Kollam on September 21, Palakkad on September 22, and Malappuram on September 23. He will tour Kozhikode and Wayanad on September 10 and 11.
