CHENNAI: The mahasamprokshanam of Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple at Nachiyarkoil (also called as Thirnaraiyur) near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district was performed on Thursdapy. Gadams were taken in procession and holy water poured over the kalasams at 9.30 a.m. A special `Kal Garudasevai' was performed in the evening.

The mahasamprokshanam of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar temple in Poovarasankuppam near Villupuram was held on Thursday. The samprokshanam of Sri Jagannathaperumal-Thirumazhisai Azhwar temple in Thirumazhisai near Chennai was also performed on Thursday.
